Confined Space Training
This training covers:
- How to identify the different types of confined spaces
- Requirements and procedures for entering into these areas
- Hazardous atmospheres and physical hazards
- Consequences of exposure
- Behavioral and physical effects that may occur to an entrant while in a confined space
- Techniques for using monitoring equipment
- Proper order sequence of air testing
- Selection and the proper use of personal protective equipment, ventilation equipment, communication equipment, and rescue equipment will be demonstrated
- Duties and responsibilities of the entrant, attendant and entry supervisor
Hands-on training will be completed for individuals that will take part in an entry and/or an emergency “Non-Entry” rescue.
***NOTE: “Entry” rescue would require additional training and hands-on practice.
