This training includes general information for affected and other employees, and specific information for authorized employees.

For the affected and other employees, the training includes:

• Information on the purpose and use of the energy control procedures
• Prohibition relating to the attempt to re-start or re-energize machines or equipment which are locked and tagged out

For authorized employees, the training includes:

• Information on the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources
• Type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace
• Methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control
