An accredited private university did a 3 year study involving over 79.000 students. The purpose of the study was to evaluate achievement and retention when using three different teaching formats: Online, Face-to-Face, and Blended.
The results were not surprising… The highest scores received in both achievement and retention, were with the traditional face-to-face teaching. Lowest scores were obtained with the online method, and the average scores were received when the students were taught with the blended format.
That’s why Fox Valley Safety and Training offers you both. Our emphasis is on face-to-face/instructor led classes, with online courses offered as fill in or refreshers. Don’t be mistaken… we are into high tech as much as the next company… but we use it as a tool, incorporating it into our training, not totally relying on it.
