Respiratory Safety

Millions of Americans work each year in insufficient oxygen environments, harmful dusts, fogs, smokes, mists, gases, vapors, and sprays that require them to wear respirators. Respirators can protect users by eliminating contaminants from the air, or by supplying clean, reliable air from a secondary source. Fox Valley Safety can assess your work environment, recommend protection, and ensure your employees know how to use and maintain it before they enter an environment in which it will be necessary.

Respiratory Safety Training Includes:

Equipment Use
We enable each employee to demonstrate knowledge of why the respirator is necessary, and how the improper fit, usage, or maintenance can compromise the protective effect of the respirator.
Fit Test & Respiratory Training
We can train employees on both how to properly fit their respiratory safety gear and when they need to re-fit their equipment.
Equipment Limitations
Ensures that employees know what the limitations and capabilities of the respirator are.
Emergency Training
How to use the respirator effectively in emergency situations, including situations in which the respirator malfunctions, as well as the ability to recognize medical signs and symptoms that may limit or prevent the effective use of the respirators.
Equipment Maintenance
We’ll train your team on how to maintain their protective equipment including how to inspect, put on, remove, use, and check the seals of the respirator, as well as general maintenance and storage procedures.
